We understand that sometimes it may be necessary to give up a cat and we will do our very best to place yours into a new home. However, rescues are places with many animals and strangers, new routines, and can be a bit stressful to animals that are accustomed to being in a home environment.

Rescues should be used as a last resort.

If you have found a stray cat, please contact animal control or police department for the town/city you have found the cat in. Chances are if someone is looking for that pet, they will start with their local animal control or police department.

Little Cat Rescue of Illinois will review your surrender form and will be in contact with you soon. We are a very small rescue with limited funds. Beginning March 1st, a $50 surrender fee will be required for each cat surrendered. This fee helps offset a portion of the veterinary expenses associated with intake and care.

Examples of surrender donations: Monetary Donation, Cat Chow, Kitten Chow, Any type of wet food, Clumping cat litter or crystal litter, Paper towels, Laundry detergent, Lysol floor cleaner, Cat treats, Cat toys

(We cannot take any used cat towers or items that cannot fit in our washing machine for sanitary reasons)
